Chase appears onscreen twice in Friends:
- In "The One With The Princess Leia Fantasy" he is one of the people sitting on the Central Perk couch, preventing the main characters from using it.
- In "The One With Ross' Wedding, Part 1", when Joey and Chandler are on an open top bus ride around London, Chase and Marta Kauffman can be seen sitting behind them.

Chase co-won three Outstanding Comedy Series Emmy awards for his work on Friends in 1996, 1999 and 2000.
