Elinor Donahue was born Mary Eleanor Donahue (Tacoma, Washington April 19th 1937). She is best known for playing Betty Anderson in the 1950s sitcom Father Knows Best. Amongst her numerous film and TV appearances are Pretty Woman (1990), 77 Sunset Strip (1963), Dr Kildare (1963), Mulligans Stew (1977) and Days of Our Lives (1984-85).
