Margaret Julia "Marlo" Thomas (born November 21, 1937) is a Lebanese-American actress, producer, and activist famous for starring on the sitcom That Girl from 1966-1971. She is also known for being an activist for the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, founded by her father, actor Danny Thomas in 1962, serving as the National Hospital Director. She has also appeared in the 1967 Rankin-Bass animated TV movie, Cricket on The Hearth. She portrayed Sandra Greene, the mother of Rachel Greene.


  • Marlo's father Danny Thomas was an Executive Producer on The Dick van Dyke Show and recommended Mary Tyler Moore to producer Carl Reiner.
