Tim is Phoebe's boyfriend and Monica's souschef from "The One With Rachel's Date", played by Kevin Rahm. Phoebe thinks he's really cute, so Monica sets them up. However, Monica wants to fire him because he totally sucks. Phoebe takes it up for him, leading to Monica giving him another chance. This causes problems when Phoebe wants to break up with him because he's too anxious: you can't dump a guy and fire him on the same day. Finally they both do it at the same time, but Monica decides to give him another chance when he says the she's the best chef he knows.
