This is my review on the couple: Monica and Chandler.
Many fans of the series love them together and would definitely consider them to be the greatest couple of the series. However, there are a few fans who would disagree, stating that Monica soulmate is Richard and Chandler's is Janice. I'm going to review whether I agree with the common trend that they are a great couple or whether they deserve to be with previous exes. So keep reading to see my review.
The transition from friends to lovers permanently, the right way! Monica and Chandler are my star couple.
Their relationship was perfect for all the right reasons and I'm so glad they risked ruining their entire friendship when they hooked up to take a chance on love.
Their relationship was so stable and healthy that not once did I ever doubt that they were perfect for each other. Their scenes were always emotional, hilarious and relatable. Examples include when Chandler told Monica that he liked maintaining her, the piggyback ride and the proposal. The fact that Chandler accepted Monica's flaw and forgave the woman who cut his toe and Monica, who accepted Chandler for his awkward behaviour and forgave him for his offensive comment towards her at Thanksgiving showed that, they always accept and forgive each other's flaws. That element mastered by the couple was definitely relationship goals!
What I also love about their relationship was their persistence to work on their relationship. They were no strangers in helping each other out and during the duration of their relationship, there were multiple instances of that. Like Monica helping Chandler out with his personality. She was the one who cleaned him up from a guy who was immature and afraid of commitment to one who was mature, loving and committed. I like to think Chandler would repay her back by making her a better person overall too. The couple definitely don't let any barriers stand in their way. Their relationship was so strong that the setbacks the faced only drew them closer eg; when they realise that they cannot conceive naturally in which they realised that the light under the tunnel was to adopt. This was fantastic especially when you consider that throughout the series, Monica stated that she always wanted to be pregnant. It's true, they were always willing to do anything for each other.
Even though they had their few disagreements/arguments here and there like for example, when they argued about what to do with the guest room or when they were talking about Grey and Jenny, they always found a way to resolve the situation quickly due to their great communication skills and I admire them for that. I also admire how they were not afraid to show cute little moments of their love together such as kissing on the forehead or the smiles they pull towards each other. They were also not afraid to be weird around each other which I think was cute. I know both of these were minor details but I had to place it here.
So yeah, I agree 100% with the common trend that Monica and Chandler were fantastic together and would definitely place them as my favourite couple of the series. Their love was so genuine and I absolutely love the chemistry between them. The stability of the couple was perfect and their scenes were over the top. I know they were not perfect since they had their few arguments but I sure do love them together nevertheless since being slightly flawed is what makes them human.
Therefore, Monica and Chandler are a phenomenal couple, rating them (9.9/10). However, due to how close that figure is to 10, I like to boost the rating a little bit higher and rate them (10/10)!
