Vittorio De Angelis (September 20, 1962 - June 11, 2015) was an Italian voice actor. He was best known for voicing Joey Tribbiani in the Italian-Language version of Friends. He reprized this role in Joey.

His sister is Eleonora De Angelis, who voiced Rachel Greene in the Italian dub of the show. He was also the son of voice actor Manlio De Angelis, the grandson of voice actor Gualtiero De Angelis, the nephew of singer Enrico De Angelis and the cousin of voice actor Massimiliano Virgilii.

Biography[]

De Angelis began his voice acting career in the 1980s. One of his first major dubbing roles included Prince Eric in the Italian version of the 1989 Disney animated film The Little Mermaid and the sequel The Little Mermaid II: Return to the Sea. He also provided the Italian voice of Geordi La Forge in the Italian version of Star Trek: The Next Generation. De Angelis' other dubbing roles included I.M. Weasel in I Am Weasel and various voices in Futurama. He was the official voice actor of Matt LeBlanc, Cary Elwes, Kevin James and Brendan Fraser.

De Angelis was also a dialogue writer and a dubbing director.

Death[]

Vittorio De Angelis died of a heart attack in Rome on June 11th 2015 at the age of 52. His father, Manlio De Angelis died two years later.
